Presentation: In his talk, Lanting presented his work as an ongoing dialogue between his camera and the natural world, a conversation that has been influenced by a growing understanding of science and technology. Panel Discussion: Following the talk, there was a panel discussion moderated by Washington Post Science, Health, and Environmental Editor Laura Helmuth. Panelist include the Director of the Smithsonian Center for Conservation and Sustainability, Francisco Dallmeier, and the President of the Carnegie Institution for Science, Matthew Scott. Audience members joined the discussion during a lively Q&A. Post-program Reception: Following the program, audience members mingled with presenters and panelists during a private reception. |
